You like to rock. You like Bangor. Have we got the contest for you!

This Saturday, Aug. 6 brings the fifth annual Rise Above Fest, a day-long concert featuring a multitude of heavy metal and hard rock bands, playing from early afternoon until the evening at the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion.

This year’s fest features such modern rock luminaries as Disturbed, Volbeat, Alter Bridge, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed and Seether — the latter being the band that helps to organize the festival, which benefits SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education.)

Want to get a pair of tickets, courtesy of Waterfront Concerts and the Bangor Daily News? Simply enter the contest below between now and 3 p.m. Friday, and you’ll get your chance to win! Your tickets will be at will call on the day of the show. Awesome, right? Have fun!
