Valentine Phantom strikes again, planting hearts in Bangor and Portland

The Bangor Valentine Phantom has struck again in downtown Bangor, spreading little (and big) red paper hearts, cute messages and even candy throughout the city. A similar Phantom also struck Portland, as it has done for nearly 30 years. In fact, the Portland Phantom may be one of the originators of the Valentine’s Day Heart-stravaganza nationwide. Here’s a handful of photos that the Phantom has posted him or herself on the BVP Facebook page, as well as a photo from Portland; you can also click over to the Portland Museum of Art’s photo collage it posted this morning.
