Dysart’s blooper video featuring “buttery, flaky crusts” finds its way to Stephen Colbert

Four years after it first went viral, the Dysarts blooper reel for a commercial featuring Bangor couple Jack and Sonja Palmer “flubbing” the line “baked in a buttery flaky crust” has again gone viral.

Though it appears the first sites to re-discover the video were women’s blog Refinery 29 and British site Metro.co.uk, the video has since been featured all over the Internet yet again, from a long thread on Reddit to Seventeen Magazine. It’s worth noting that the first publication to shed a little light on the video was the Bangor Daily News, on this very blog you’re reading right now, way back in December 2012.

The biggest shout out on this go-round certainly had to be from “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” who featured the video on its Friday, Sept. 2 broadcast. You can skip the first part and go straight to 3:28 to see the segment about the Palmers.

The famous video has received more than 3 million views since it was posted nearly four years ago by Sutherland and Weston, a Bangor-based marketing firm. Dysart’s has of course capitalized on the video’s fame, making “Buttery, flaky crust” t-shirts and promoting its delicious chicken pot pie with the Palmers, who are long time, loyal customers.

Here’s the original video. It’s still hilarious!
