Jimmy Buffett, the man that brought us Margaritaville, cheeseburgers in paradise, and the idea that it’s five o’clock somewhere, will bring his “I Don’t Know” tour to the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion on Thursday, Aug. 18. Tickets for the summertime concert will go on sale at noon on Friday, Feb. 12 via Ticketmaster, by calling 1-800-745-3000, or in person at Mark’s Music in Brewer. They are priced between $36 and $136.
Local Parrotheads won’t want to miss their chance to soak in the full Margaritaville experience.
“We are thrilled to have Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band visit Bangor this summer,” said Alex Gray of Waterfront Concerts. “This is a concert that we have been working towards for many years. Do not miss out on this party. Truly the must see concert of the season.”
Jimmy Buffett is one of the highest grossing tour acts of all time and has had several major radio hits, including “Margaritaville,” “Come Monday” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” He’s known for his laid-back, island lifestyle-promoting music and his many additional business ventures outside of music, including the Margaritaville restaurants, as a partner in Budweiser’s Landshark Lager line of beer, and writing several novels and children’s books. He’s also been seen in movies, including, most recently, in “Jurassic World.”
