Three new shows announced for Maine State Pier; George Thorogood, Beach Boys and Barenaked Ladies

Waterfront Concerts announced this weekend three new shows for the Machias Savings Bank concert series at the Maine State Pier in Portland this summer, ranging from 90s pop to classic rock to oldies.

The Barenaked Ladies will once again bring their Last Summer on Earth tour to Portland, with guests OMD (known for their hit song “How Bizarre”) and Howard Jones (“Things Can Only Get Better”). The show is set for Friday, June 24, and tickets go on sale on Feb. 5.

Then, on July 7, the Beach Boys will once again return to the Maine State Pier, with guests The Temptations. Tickets are on sale right now.

Finally, George Thorogood and the Destroyers will take the stage on Friday, Aug. 5, as part of the band’s “Badder Than Ever” tour. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb. 5.
