Dave Matthews Band to return to Bangor for June concert on Waterfront

Waterfront Concerts announced on Monday that the Dave Matthews Band, which sold out the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in 2014, will return to Bangor with a show set for Wednesday, June 8 for the waterfront. Tickets for the show, priced at $75, will go on sale at noon on Friday, Feb. 19 via Ticketmaster or in person at Mark’s Music in Brewer.

Dave Matthews Band has sold a combined 37 million CDs and DVDs throughout its more than 20-year career, which began in Charlottesville, Va., in the early 1990s. It exploded onto the national scene with the album, “Under the Table and Dreaming,” which has been certified six times platinum. The band has released eight albums in total, including the 2012 album, “Away From the World,” which was certified gold. Dave Matthews Band ties the Eagles with having the most number one Billboard chart albums of all time. They have also released more than 35 live albums, seven of which have gone gold or platinum.

The Dave Matthews Band concert is the same day as the also-announced Ringo Starr concert, set for June 8 at the Cross Insurance Center.
