Waterfront Concerts announced on Friday that comedian Dave Chappelle will perform a third show in Maine on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Collins Center for the Arts at the University of Maine in Orono. Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow, Sept. 12, at noon, via Ticketmaster.

Chappelle’s Orono performance comes one day after his two shows on Sept. 22 at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland, both of which are close to selling out. It will be Chappelle’s second performance at the Collins Center for the Arts — he performed there in 2002, when it was known as the Maine Center for the Arts.

Dave Chappelle is best-known for his groundbreaking Comedy Central series “Chappelle’s Show,” which blended searing social commentary with iconic pop cultural references. He is an acclaimed stand up comedian that returned to the road in 2013 after an extended break from touring.
