Modest Mouse set for October concert at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland

Waterfront Concerts announced on Wednesday that platinum-selling indie rock artists Modest Mouse will perform on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at the Cross Insurance Arena (formerly the Cumberland County Civic Center) in Portland. Tickets for the fall concert will go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 26 via Ticketmaster. Tickets are priced between $35 and $45.

In its more than 20 years as a band, the Washington-based Modest Mouse, led by singer-songwriter Isaac Brock, has gone from lo-fi recording on indie label K Records to releasing one of the biggest rock albums of the mid-2000s, “Good News For People Who Love Bad News,” which spawned the 2004 mega hit “Float On.” The band’s first album in eight years and their sixth overall, “Strangers to Ourselves,” came out in March 2015, featuring lead single “Lampshades on Fire.”
