Bret Michaels, Scotty McCreery, Colbie Caillat and Christina Perri among new shows at Maine State Pier

Waterfront Concerts over the past week has announced three new shows for the Maine State Pier in Portland.

On Thursday, June 25, rocker Bret Michaels will perform as part of his “True Grit” tour. Michaels is known as the frontman for 1980s hair metal band Poison, and has since enjoyed a successful career as a solo artist and TV personality, from his former VH1 series “Rock of Love” to co-hosting “Access Hollywood.” Tickets are $19.75 to $49.75 and they go on sale at noon on Friday, May 1.

Songwriters Colbie Caillat and Christina Perri will bring their “Girls Night Out (Boys Can Come Too)” tour to the Maine State Pier on Sunday, Aug. 2, with guest Rachel Platten. Perri is known for her hit songs including “Human” and “A Thousand Years,” while Caillatdebuted in 2007 with Coco, which included hit singles “Bubbly” and “Realize”. Tickets for the concert are $20.75 to $70.75 and are on sale now.

“American Idol” star Scotty McCreery will perform on the Maine State Pier on Saturday, Aug. 22 as part of the “See You Tonight” tour. At age 21, McCreery has already sold nearly 2.5 million albums and received both Platinum and Gold album certifications, debuted three consecutive albums at number one on the Billboard charts, achieved three Platinum-certified singles and two Top Ten hits, toured with Brad Paisley and The Band Perry. Tickets for the concerts go on sale at noon on Friday, May 1.
