Waterfront Concerts in partnership with Global Spectrum announced on Tuesday morning a new show coming to the Cross Insurance Center — rockers Motley Crue with special guest rock legend Alice Cooper will rock the house at the CIC on Sunday, Oct. 18. Tickets for the fall concert go on sale at noon on Saturday, April 25 via Ticketmaster or in person at Mark’s Music in Brewer.

Motley Crue — who last played in Bangor in May 2013 at the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion — are on their (supposedly) final tour ever, which began last year and will conclude on New Year’s Eve at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the band’s hometown for the past 34 years.

The 2015 leg of the Final Tour includes shows all across the globe. Next up, Mötley Crüe will head to Australia and New Zealand in May for their last ever shows there. June will see the band saying farewell to the European festival circuit with 3 massive performances at Download (UK), Sweden Rock (Sweden) and Novarock (Austria) Festivals before taking the show back to North America. Mötley Crüe first announced plans for their two year Final Tour by signing a Cessation Of Touring Agreement at a press conference in Los Angeles in Jan. 2014, solidifying the end of their touring career for Dec. 2015. The 2014 leg of the Final Tour was one of last year’s top grossing tours, selling close to a million tickets across 72 cities and grossing more than $45 million.

Joining the Crue will be legendary rocker Alice Cooper, for most of the band’s North American 2015 dates. Cooper, in a recent interview with Billboard, revealed details of a forthcoming tribute album to his notorious rock n’ roll social circle in the 70s, known as the Hollywood Vampires. The metal star’s record features the likes of Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Brian Johnson of ACDC and Johnny Depp, and it’s set to come out later this year.
