David Gray, Rachel Yamagata set for June concert on Maine State Pier

David Gray, known for his early 2000s hit song “Babylon” off the album “White Ladder,” will perform with songwriter Rachel Yamagata on Saturday, June 13 on the Maine State Pier, as part of the Machias Savings Bank concert series. Tickets for the summer concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 10 via Ticketmaster.

Gray’s 2009 release “Draw The Line” was met with critical praise and garnered the artist a series of high profile television appearances, as well as two sold out tours of the US. “Foundling,” Gray’s ninth studio album, picked up where “Draw the Line” left off and created a new chapter of lush, soulful songs that found the artist returning to his folk music roots, debuting at number nine on the Billboard charts. David Gray’s tenth and latest “Mutineers,” came out last year and finds the singer-songwriter steering into unfamiliar territory while cultivating a pugnacious but respectful relationship with his own history. The lead single off of the album, “Back In The World,” reached top 10 in the AAA charts.
