Country artist Gary Allan to play on Maine State Pier May 29


Waterfront Concerts announced on Monday morning that country artist Gary Allan will play on the Maine State Pier in Portland on Friday, May 29. Tickets for the concerts, priced between $22.75 and $59.75, will go on sale on Friday, April 2 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

Allan, who last played in Maine in 2012 on the Bangor Waterfront, has sold over seven million albums, been certified platinum on three back-to-back albums, and gold twice. Allan has five number one hits at country radio and nearly a dozen top ten hits to his credit.  He’s described as “dark and dreamy” in Entertainment Weekly, “soulful and rough around the edges” in Playboy and deemed a “maverick” by Rolling Stone.

Allan joins previously announced Maine State Pier concerts including country artist Lee Brice on May 16, blues artists Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Jonny Lang on June 11, and Peter Frampton and Cheap Trick on June 27, among many others. For more information, visit
