The episode of “Hotel Impossible” centered around Brewer’s Vacationland Inn will air at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9 on the Travel Channel.

The show, hosted by famed hotelier Anthony Melchiorri (pictured above) and now in its fifth season, takes hotel properties from all over the world and renovates parts of them, teaming with local contractors to offer a fresh new look to certain rooms, conference spaces, lounges, bars or other important parts of a hotel. For the Vacationland Inn episode, the show teamed with Electric Works of Old Town, Violette Builders of Old Town, Brian Moore Carpentry of Eddington, Applicator Sales and Service of Bangor and Viking Lumber, as well as the lead contractors of the team, Maine Construction Group, out of Hampden. Melchiorri offers his expert advice to the staff of the hotel.

“Hotel Impossible” producers and staff visited the Vacationland Inn on Wilson Street in Brewer for three days, Sept. 16-18, and conducted whirlwind renovations and training.
