Local bands, local vibes, local love at State of the State II in Portland

Our friends at Portland-based Knack Factory — the media firm owned and operated by BDN blogger Alex Steed and photographer Zack Bowen — took some time out on Friday evening to attend the State of the State II concert at the State Theatre. The local music extravaganza, organized by Kyle Poissonier of Katalyst Clothing, brought together bands including the Mallett Brothers Band, Spose and Sly Chi, the Other Bones, the Wrecking, the Kenya Hall Band and Model Airplane. Alex and Zack were on hand to document the music, the vibe and the loads of local love. Watch the video above to get a sense of the musical community that’s coalesced around these bands and their fans.
