Maine’s Axe Women Loggers to appear on Queen Latifah Show Wednesday, Feb. 12

alissaThe Axe Women Loggers of Maine, a new team of female professional timber sports athletes, will appear on “The Queen Latifah Show” at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, broadcast on WABI, Bangor’s CBS affiliate.

The Axe Women Loggers of Maine were formed by Bar Harbor resident Alissa Harper, who has more than a decade of experience working with the Great Maine Lumberjack Show in Trenton. Harper formed her own team of women timber sports athletes several years ago. Harper will be joined on Queen Latifah’s talk show with her fellow athletes,¬†Tracie Henning of Walworth, New York¬†and Katherine Spencer of Smoky Lake, Alberta, Canada. If you miss the broadcast, the Axe Women Loggers of Maine segment will be up on the Queen Latifah website afterwards.
