Schnitzel’s Austrian Grill food truck opening delayed temporarily

Due to an unspecified accident, the hotly anticipated grand opening of Schnitzel’s Austrian Grill, a new food truck from the owners of Cielos Mexican Grill serving Austrian and German food, has been delayed temporarily.

Owners Kirsten and Chris Pilot posted a message on their Facebook page that said they had an accident on the truck and had to close today. They later elaborating that the automatic fire suppression system went off and spilled all the chemicals into the truck, and that cleanup could take a little while. The truck, set to be parked in the KMart parking lot on Hogan Road, is closed for today. There is no word yet on when it will reopen.

Schitzel’s plans to serve chicken and pork schnitzel — thin pounded, breaded, fried cutlets — with potato salad, gulasch and green salads. There will also be sausages like bratwurst and currywurst, and Belgian fries.

Check the Schnitzel’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/schnitzelme to find out when the truck will reopen.
