Carolyn Callahan, Tom Round set for WABI-TV departure next week

Carolyn Callahan, a longtime reporter and anchor for WABI-TV, channel 5 in Bangor, announced on her Twitter account that she and her fiance, videographer Tom Round, will be leaving the Bangor affiliate the week of Friday, Nov. 22. The couple will assume new positions as anchor-reporter and videographer at the NBC affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina, WISTV-10.

Callahan is a Massachusetts native and a broadcast journalism graduate of the University of South Carolina. She has been a reporter and anchor with WABI-TV since June 2010. Prior to that, she spent two years at WVII-TV, channel 7. Her fiance, Tom Round, is assistant chief videographer at WABI, and has worked in TV news for more than ten years.
