Luna Bar & Grill in Bangor postpones reopening one week

Luna Bar & Grill, the popular casual fine dining restaurant and cocktail bar on Park Street in downtown Bangor, announced on Thursday that it would be postponing its grand re-opening by one week, due to a mix-up regarding liquor licenses. The new opening date is Friday, Aug. 23.

Owner John Gosselin purchased the business from previous owner Paul Noonan over the summer. It was initially thought that the licenses Noonan had held would carry over into Gosselin’s ownership, but according to the state liquor board, they do not. According to city councilor Ben Sprague, the approval of Gosselin’s new licenses will be expedited at Monday’s Bangor City Council meeting.
