The Bangor Valentine Phantom has struck again in downtown Bangor, spreading little (and big) red paper hearts, cute messages and even candy throughout the city. A similar Phantom also struck Portland, as it has done for nearly 30 years. In fact, the Portland Phantom may be one of the originators of the Valentine’s Day Heart-stravaganza nationwide.
