Great Maine Lumberjack Show to be featured on The Travel Channel

We don’t have all the details yet, but “Timber” Tina Scheer of the Great Maine Lumberjack Show in Trenton posted this update on Facebook this morning about her long-standing summertime business and show, and its next appearance in the national spotlight.

I am happy to share with you that The Travel Channel will be filming at The Great Maine Lumberjack Show on Monday, September 10th at 12:30 pm! AND to make sure we have a full crowd for filming, the entire Hancock Grammar School is joining us for a field trip! Details of the air date will follow. YO-HO!

It’s not the first time Scheer has been on national television. In 1997 the Great Maine Lumberjack Show was featured on an episode of MTV’s “The Real World: Boston,” in 2006 she was a contestant on CBS’s “Survivor: Panama,” and in 2011 Scheer and her “lumberjills” were featured on an episode of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” She has also been featured in National Geographic, Sports Illustrated and Women’s Sports and Fitness magazines. The Great Maine Lumberjack Show is located on the Bar Harbor Road in Trenton; its summer season concluded on Sept. 2. We’ll post more details about the show’s Travel Channel appearance very soon!
