Stockton Springs native to appear on CMT game show

Maine country music fans take note: the next episode of Country Music Television’s singing game show, “The Singing Bee” will feature Stockton Springs native Chelsea Herrick, competing to win $10,000 in a karaoke-style singing competition. Herrick, a graduate of Searsport District High School and of the University of Maine, will compete in the show, set to air at 8 p.m. Friday, April 20.

“The Singing Bee” website states the show blends “a mix of country music with popular favorites from other genres” and “tests contestants’ knowledge of lyrics to well-known songs, and those who fail to accurately sing the correct lyrics are eliminated from the competition.”
