2012 Maine Drama Festival final results

The state finals for the 2012 Maine Drama Festival were held over the weekend, for both Class A (schools over 550 students) and Class B (schools under 550 students). At the Class A level, Falmouth High School took home top honors with its production of “This Is Where We Came In,” an adaptation of British playwright Alan Ayckbourn’s abstract but crowd-friendly play about storytelling. Runner up was Cape Elizabeth High School, with Oldwen Mywark’s “Find Me.”

For Class B, first place went to Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, with its ensemble piece, the Greek tragedy “Antigone.” Second place went to Yarmouth High School, for their take on “Bottom’s Dream,” based on “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
