The NBC reality show “Who Do You Think You Are?” in which celebrities trace their genealogical roots, will have a Maine connection featured on tonight’s show. Actress Helen Hunt interviews a University of Maine alumna, Shannon Risk. UMaine’s press release tells more…

An NBC genealogical reality show, “Who Do You Think You Are?”  airing Friday, March 23 at 8 p.m., will feature an interview with acclaimed actress Helen Hunt by University of Maine alumna Shannon Risk. Now an assistant professor of history at the University of Niagara in New York, Risk, who received a master’s in American history in 1996 and a PhD in history in 2009 from UMaine, was asked by the network to do an interview with Hunt because she had written about Hunt’s great-great-grandmother’s participation in the 19th century women’s suffrage movement as part of her dissertation.

Tune in tonight and see if there’s anything else Maine-related on the show!
